HW-Logistics developed the Septosystem® with the following in mind: Development of a cheaper, flexible and safer packing container and collection system that meets the existing safety requirements and more. The Septosystem has successfully met the objectives. How?

1. By developing a significantly cheaper packing container, the Septopack® (UN 3291). The use of solid cardboard instead of plastic means we avoid the continuous price increases of the plastic raw material. The use of cardboard was inspired by the food industry, especially fish processing, where they have very high requirements for what concerns quality and hygiene. The best solution has been found in cooperation with Smurfit Kappa, the world leader in watertight solid cardboard products and our partner for the HW Logistics concept. The packing container is cheaper and has a higher fall resistance. It has, naturally, been tested by TNO and based on the UN requirements.

2. By developing a very affordable packing container for infectious waste (UN 2814 and 2900). The Septopack® concept was further developed to produce the revolutionary Septosafe®; a packing container that was legally required but did, nevertheless, not exist because the extreme requirements would have made the packing container too expensive. Not so for HW-Logistics. Our product was subjected to these hard tests and the results were splendid.

3. By developing an integral collection system with roll containers, the Septainer®. After all, less handling equals savings. That is the strength of the Septosystem®. The individual packing containers are only picked up twice in the chain: Once empty from the roll container and once full into the roll container. All other handling is of the Septainer®; which is 16 packing containers at the same time!

4. And through manageability. Every roll container is weighed when received which means that misconceptions are excluded. The invoice seamlessly follows. The management information regarding quantity, costs, statistics, etc. is sent to you periodically.
